TimeScapes is series of events in Edinburgh exploring observations of time through cinema. It is a curatorial project created by University of Edinburgh’s MSc in Film, Exhibition and Curation students.

What happens when we observe time?  What do we learn about ourselves and the world around us from those observations?  The camera has long been a tool both scientists and filmmakers have used to bend and shift time in order to better observe life and the world we live in.

Timescapes events offer a fresh, new look on the camera’s role in scientific observation, experimentation and manipulation of time.
